National Hummingbird Day

September 6, 2025, Celebrating Hummingbirds Today

Welcome to National Hummingbird Day. We love to watch them in action, as close as possible. They are not only fascinating but also belong to a group of pollinators, birds, that are critical to our environment. Birds, bats, butterflies, moths, flies, beetles, wasps, small mammals, and most importantly, bees are pollinators. They visit flowers to drink nectar or feed on pollen and transport pollen grains as they move from spot to spot. Browse through the pages of this site to see many pollinators that might live near your home. My favorite? Bees, bats, and Monarch butterflies. Visit Pollinator Partnership to learn more.
