#ThrowbackThursday. Good things come in tall packages.

That’s my nephew Jake, all 6 feet 4 inches of him.

This photo still makes me laugh, no matter how many times I see it. Jake is casually resting his arm on his Mom, Amy's, head. And there’s Mike photobombing from behind with his sly sense of humor. Jake is my brother Brett’s son, and Mike is the great person who stepped in to fill that role after Brett died.

Clearly, someone ate all his vegetables growing up.

The picture was taken back in high school, but today, Jake’s even more impressive. He’s now on the path to earning his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Jake is smart, hard-working, kind, and funny. He’s not just tall; Jake stands out in every way that matters, not that I’m biased or anything.
