Chris Stapleton’s “Cold” on a Cloudy Music Wednesday.

It’s Wednesday, and by now, it’s apparent that I’ve been having some trouble publishing #MusicMonday on Mondays. So, the featured Artist of the Week is Chris Stapleton, who’s known for his masterful blending of country, blues, southern rock, and soul. In his song “Cold,” he conveys a sense of authentic, almost desperate pain. Listening to him on my drive home, the power of his voice and sincerity cut through the gloom of my day, bringing new feelings to the surface.

In fact, Stapleton’s power has earned him over 10 Grammy Awards, more than 15 Country Music Association (CMA) Awards, and 10+ Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards, in addition to multiple Billboard Music Awards, American Music Awards, an MTV Video Award, People’s Choice, and more. (according to various sources). I found a comment on YouTube about Stapleton’s incredible performance at the CMA Awards (see the video below), and it truly summed it all up.

“This guy sings like he's been heart broken by 1000 women. You can actually feel the pain in his voice. Amazing”.  @timyoung1847
