Fireworks & Feast at The Rogers Family Funny Farm

(Be sure to see Ken’s fireworks in the video below)

Every July 4th, something spectacular happens in Boon, Michigan, where Ken and Kate Rogers host their Fireworks and Feast at the Rogers Family Funny Farm. This year, more than 35 friends and family gathered to eat, laugh, and marvel at the fireworks display. The food? Ken’s professional culinary skills stole the show before the fireworks lit the sky. I love watching him in chef form, cutting, tossing, and mixing with flair and skill. And from slow-smoked meats to summer sides, it was more than anyone could finish.

No Fourth of July at the Rogers’ would be complete without the iconic Nutter Butter Banana Pudding, a decadent dessert made by Greg under the strict supervision of Lucy. It’s just one of the many traditions that make this gathering feel like a summer version of Christmas, but with explosives. I see familiar faces and new friends in awe of the fireworks show. It’s July 5th and I’m ready for next year.
