“I used to think peace came from slowing down, but lately, I think it’s more about noticing while we’re moving.”
Mindful thought for today:
“I used to think peace came from slowing down, but lately, I think it’s more about noticing while we’re moving.”
Ben, shown above as a toddler, is walking down a forest path. We let him go a bit ahead so he could notice things at his own pace on the trail. Many children seem to find peace without needing to slow down. My oldest, Alex, always noticed details wherever we went—how machines worked, the layout of gardens, and how people interacted. He moved quietly and peacefully through each day with me.
