#GivingTuesday. My Top 3 Non-Profit Organizations.
I’m excited to share my three favorite nonprofit organizations with you this #GivingTuesday! These groups are close to my heart, and I believe they do wonderful work. I hope you’ll find them inspiring and consider supporting their missions.
“The more grateful I am, the more beauty I see”
When my kids were young, teaching them gratitude fostered generosity, encouraging them to give back, help others, and shows compassion.
Giving brings joy that outweighs the sacrifice. Check out Psychology Today's (6/27/17)
3 Favorite Nonprofit Organizations I Want to Share
The Trevor Project
June is Pride month! The Trevor Project is the leading suicide prevention and crisis intervention nonprofit organization for LGBTQ+ young people. It provides information and support 24/7, all year round. Watch the video below to get a personal feel for The Trevor Project and its powerful work. There are many more videos with one-on-one interviews that are must-sees, one of which was hosted by Daniel Radcliff. Everyone deserves a welcoming, loving world!
Pollinator Partnership
Pollinators are birds, bats, bees, butterflies, beetles, and other small mammals that pollinate plants and are responsible for bringing us one out of every three bites of food! If you aren't already familiar with the Pollinator Partnership nonprofit, visit their terrific website that has simple and clear information for where you live. This part of the natural world fascinates me because I see pollinators hard at work when I Step into the Garden. Spread the word about protecting pollinators from pesticides, habitat loss, and climate change.
World Wildlife Fund
The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) mission is to conserve nature and reduce the most pressing threats to the diversity of life on Earth. They protect the world's most cherished species, preserve the habitats that people and wildlife rely on, and much more. When my children were younger, I encouraged them to choose a species to Symbolically Adopt and learn about as a fun summer activity. They selected the Mexican Gray Wolf. to support WWF's conservation efforts. Check out their Give an Hour for the Earth project and it’s locally led conservation.
