#MusicMonday “You Say” by Lauren Daigle

Lauren Daigle is one of my cousin's favorite Christian singers. I remember her excitement when she called me while on her way to a concert with her daughters.

When researching Lauren, a talented Christian singer-songwriter from Louisiana, I discovered the diverse and universal appeal of her music. Her soulful voice and authentic lyrics resonate with many people, especially Toni, who holds the song "You Say" close to her heart. It was one of her late husband's favorite songs, and I understand why. I added it to a playlist and often find myself singing the chorus loudly in my car: "You say I am strong when I think I am weak..."

Perseverance, hope, and faith are prominent themes in Lauren's music. As a Christian artist, she shares her beliefs and connects with fans beyond the typical Christian music audience, which includes me. In "You Say," Lauren sings about identity, devotion, and "staying the course." I believe messages of faith and empowerment speak to Toni this March, her husband's birthday, and with the recent passing of her mother, I hope both my cousin and her beautiful family feel the love and support from above.
