The 32nd Collective & Top 10 List To Share

From Minnesota to my garden, discover The 32nd Collective and more Hippie Chick favorites. Check out these websites about sustainability in self-care, fashion, cruelty-free beauty, travel, and art from every corner of the U.S. These aren't affiliate links—I'm spreading Hippie Chick love. Check them out!

Aaron and Ashlynn, the husband-and-wife team behind The 32nd Collective, offer a dynamic collection of brands rooted in their love for Minnesota. This Atlanta girl loves their original designs and curated collections. (I'm checking out their shirts and hats, and playing inside the phone booth in their fun boutique while wearing a purse I love.)

  • Threads 4 Thought. Clothing for women and men using ethical manufacturing and sustainable materials. My favorite sweater is the first item I bought from them.

  • IT Cosmetics. I reluctantly tried a sample of IT Cosmetics moisturizer that came with other products, and now I'm sold! It seemed like it would be heavy, not what I wanted. But it’s not. I use all of their products, so my sensitive skin reaps the benefits, and I’m comfortable with them “playing nice” together. I also love them because they are cruelty-free. (See next!)

  • Cruelty-free Kitty. Check out the practices of cosmetic companies and brands of household cleaners you might use every day. Spend time looking around—you’ll be amazed at the information on this website and think twice about your next purchases. I did.

  • Calm App. I love this app and have been using it for a very long time!! There are many similar apps to choose from, but your choice definitely depends on what you are using it for. During the day, it helps me slow down, check in, and think with gratitude and intention. Most importantly, the sounds of "Rain on Leaves" or a familiar book read by a familiar voice help me fall asleep.

You might notice I love daylilies. Oakes Daylilies is the best place to get them. Like The 32nd Collective, Oakes is family-owned and offers a diverse range of products. The photo is my pink daylily garden this year! This is not an affiliate link- I’m spreading Hermocallis love! Their Daylily Festival is 6/27-6/28. I’ve been twice.

  • Laura Coyle. Laura is a seriously talented illustrator who also teaches Adobe Illustrator and Creative Cloud. You might have seen her designs in Target and on board games. As if that’s not enough, she is also a gifted Jazz singer. Check out this video.

  • Pisgah National Forest is my place for restoration. We hike and climb together. I like to trail run, and my husband mountain bikes. The challenging climb for me is climbing a route called “Bloody Crack.” I’ll let that sink in for a minute. The climb isn’t too tricky for many climbers, but I don’t like vertical cracks and come down bloody.

  • The Good Trade. An e-newsletter with articles, honest product reviews, and community-sourced resources for mindful living. I find them a great resource and hope to offer curated articles from them in the future.

  • Savion Glover. I love Savion Glover. Many people know him as the incredibly talented tap dancer behind Mumble, the dancing penguin in the movie Happy Feet. Most importantly, Savion is a director, choreographer, teacher, and mentor for his style of tap dance, which has been brought to the forefront of the dance world. He's a legend.

Savion Glover is the amazingly talented dancer behind Mumble in Happy Feet.
